Aspire Richmond’s Community Inclusion programs are built on a foundation of person-centred planning. Each adult we support takes the lead in their own annual planning session, which may include family, friends, and support staff. These sessions help identify personal goals, both short and long-term, that reflect what’s important to them. The services and supports we offer are shaped by these goals, ensuring that each person receives care that fits their needs and helps them grow.

Aspire Community Inclusion programs
Life Day Services – LIFE Day Services offers program participants the opportunity for social inclusion, recreation, creative expression, life skills development, volunteerism and employment. Rooted in skill development, our LIFE Day Services programs empower participants to actively engage with and contribute to their community. Each individual has a home base at one of four community inclusion sites in Richmond, where they build meaningful connections and grow through purposeful activities.
Outreach Services – Outreach Services supports individuals to achieve full community inclusion and an improved sense of belonging. Outreach Services provides customizable support to individuals who are seeking to enrich their lives through an improved social network, increased community access and enhanced community connections.
Employment Services – Employment Services responds to the desire of individuals we support to pursue employment as a means to full inclusion in our community. At the same time, the program also addresses employers’ growing demand for qualified, reliable employees by providing creative employment solutions, candidate screening and one-to-one support through the hiring and training process.
Additionally, Aspire Richmond operates the Richmond HandyCrew Cooperative (RHCC) under the Cooperative Association Act of BC. This social enterprise was founded by Aspire to create work opportunities for persons with disabilities. RHCC is a mobile work crew that operates within Metro Vancouver and more specifically in the City of Richmond. HandyCrew employees are primarily individuals with a developmental disability who have the desire and skill set to work. RHCC provides training, education and employment opportunities in painting, garden maintenance, minor repairs, light carpentry, catering, home maintenance, moving and more.
